Meet DaTruthDaPoet, a force in the world of poetry and spoken word. Hailing from Baltimore, MD, Truth has dedicated her life to crafting words that resonate with the soul and inspire meaningful change.
At 17, Truth's talent and passion for poetry propelled her to national recognition, as she won 3rd place in the NAACP's Act-So competition. Since then, she has made waves in the poetry scene, producing sold-out productions, receiving prestigious awards, and empowering audiences worldwide.

But Truth's impact extends far beyond the stage. As a dedicated teacher, mentor, and advocate for social change, she tirelessly works to strengthen her community and empower the next generation of artists and activists.
Through Raw Poetry Productions, Truth provides engaging literary classes tailored for young writers. She can ignite a passion for creativity and self-expression while imparting invaluable skills that will help students far beyond the classroom.
She also facilitates workshops, hosts open mics, and co-hosts a podcast for writers, all with the aim of nurturing and amplifying the creative voices of others.
Truth currently hosts several open mics around the DMV area and is often featured at poetry and spoken word events.
